MARCH ON,
KID!

SUPPORT US
As a first year teacher, Melanie never knew that her urge to give students a sense of power in a world of chaos would turn into a meaningful organization that ignites the flame of social justice one school at a time. While teaching her students about the historic March on Washington, she had a deep hunger to not only teach her students about history, but show them how they themselves can become the history makers of today.
Prior to each march, parents and students are challenged to have a meaningful and intimate conversation about what issue they are most passionate to march for. Families are able to work together on a slogan for the poster that they carry in the March. Connecting the home to our classroom discussions led by the guiding question, “What are you marching for,” enlightens each student on the diverse cultures, values, and concerns of the peers around them.
With each donation, you are able to empower each student to not only seek what they are most inspired to change, but also give them the tools to begin that journey. While we ask our kids the question, "What are you marching for?" your donation helps them to answer that question with a commitment to exercise advocacy, inclusion, and an urgency to disrupt inequitable systems by simply using their voices to speak out.
Join our family and March On!
